Started on the ice the Saturday and have been out everyday since. The first to days were so so fishing shallow water for gills and getting maybe a dozen nice size fish both days. Then on Monday I checked out a deep hole that is normally a very popular spot and it had more ice than any other place I had been. I fished in 14 fow with crappies on the lx5 from 10-7 fow. They were stacked on top of each other. I had 25 very nice crappies in a little over an hour. It has gotten slower everyday but I still managed a dozen nice ones this morning. The shad have moved in in great numbers making it a little frustrating. There were also plenty of gills on the bottom and with a little sorting you could have a nice pile of fish. The best and most surprising part is I had it all to myself.
