Those throw aways will freeze up. At least the one I kept out over night in our old shack did. I would think that if you got one of those small ones, and just kept it in the inside pocket of your jacket you would be fine. I’ve taken some very nice pictures with those types of cameras and would think that it would do the trick for what you’re looking for.
