I am looking forward to finishing my final school project this weekend and even more so to next weekend when I can end a nearly 18 month drought to get back to majoring in fishing. To kick of this course of study I would like to target eelpout, a species I haven’t sampled in years. From what I’m hearing, Mille lacs is no longer a top pout haven. I think they always get them out of Leech. Would anyone know if any portion of that lake is more productive than others or if there are other pout waters that are worth a try? Any general advice would be greatly appreciated. Just getting out will be a great reward, but still, it will be more exciting to be looking down a hole where there is actually a chance!
