I hit the ice on Lake Pepin this morning in search of walleyes. I set up on a shallow breakline to intercept the walleyes as they moved deeper for the day. The bite was very slow at first even though we were marking plenty of fish. I decided to downsize my offering and switched to a Ratso with a sliver of fathead. The fish responded well to this change and I iced a few walleyes and I had a really good one come loose at the hole.
The highlight of the morning was this 22 inch 5.4 LB sauger that hit on a slip bobber with a fathead.
