On Feb. 6 we are taking 70 middle school students from Big Lake ice fishing on Big Lake. It is an exploratory day and the students signed up to go fishing. We are going from about 9am until 2pm (bus leaves at 2:15 from the middle school where we are walking from). The kids had to pay $8 to cover expenses, but we are having the bait and going to Cabela’s to invest in lots of jigs for everyone to bring some home. If you don’t have anything going on next Wednesday and care to volunteer your expertise that would be great. We have 4 augers to use from Strikemaster (made in Big Lake) and a Slush Inhaler was donated from Fergus Falls, MN. Hope it’s warmer than today and hope to get some 6th, 7th and 8th graders hooked on fishing!!
