This has happened to me three times now and I’m beginning to fear for my life. For clarification I just use my sun flower with the one pound LP tanks. I have a small fish house and don’t want to lug around more weight if I don’t have to.
Just the other day I fired up the sun flower and it was working fine but all of a sudden it gets real loud and I know what’s coming. Poof! Fully engulfed in flames. I grab the heater and toss it out of the shack (while trying not to burn my shack or myself). I even shut the gas off, but it keeps burning. So I kick the darn thing as far away from my shack in fear that it will explode. Then the only way to put out the fire is with the water from my minnow bucket. I can’t tell the wife, she wouldn’t let me go fishing any more.
Has this happened to anyone and if so any recommendations for avoiding this hazard?
