i don’t know if anyone would be interested in this but I thought I would pass on the info sent to me;
After talking to the St. Croix Casino we found an error in dates. We both neglected to realize that the Polka Dancing Club is having a banquet the weekend of the 9-10. There is a limited amount of rooms available and the banquet room is occupied. With that in mind, we have decided to change the date of the tournament to the next weekend 16-17 February 2008. I repeat, the Upper Turtle Lake event will be held on 17 February 2008. We have a block of rooms available at the discount rate of $35 on Friday and $48 on Saturday. When you register at the Casino you sign up for a TLC Card which gives you major discount rates on food. It also gives you points in the Casino (not sure how that works I don’t gamble). You must get your reservation met by 10 February 2008. After that dates it is first come first served basis and no guarantee. There is alternate lodging just down the street at Country Lodge- (Sam) 715.986.2973. The regular room rate is $80. I could not get a special room rate. The rules meeting will be at the Casino Friday 15 February at 7pm. There will be munchies and a cash bar available to all. At least one team member needs to be present. If you are unable to make it Friday, contact Smitty at the weigh station on Saturday between noon-2pm on Upper Turtle Lake at the launch. We will NOT be having a Kids Clinic at the WI event.
All of the other events are locked in to the dates previously announced.
All the details of the entire NAIFC Tournament Series will be posted by the end of the week. There will be an on line registration link posted on http://www.thefishyspot.com. As I have stated in the past posts, it is crucial that we mention to our friends, family, neighbors and anyone else we talk to about the events this year. It will be much easier on us all to stabilize the tourneys this year in order to maintain the level we already had in order to build on the series next year.
