I know it might seem like an off the wall idea, but I have done OK at times with a buck shot rattle jig or similar type of jigging spoon. My question or idea here, is if a rattle jig works to attract fish from afar in stained or cloudy water, wouldn’t a similar type of rattle set-up like a carolina weight with brass collar placed 18-20″ above a dropper lure/bait also work. It seems to me these carolina weights make a lot more noise than a simple rattle spoon/jig. or would that just spook anything away?
Nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess. I’m tempted to try it when nothing else seems to work. Anyone else have any thoughts? thanks Dave
