I was fishing on a small lake south of the cities when at 6:15am the bobber went down. the fish just sat there and help the top of my bobber right under the water. the bobber started to move to the side(while still just under water)so I set the hook and the drag just started screaming.
After 20 minutes I got the big pig up to the hole.
I have an 10″ auger and I had two holes drilled with about 6-7 inches in between the two and this walleye come up just right that is was across both holes and I still could not see his head or tail. It was the biggest walleye I have ever seen in my life. I have caught plenty of 28-29″ wallys on the big pond but this thing was huge.
I tried to get his head up the hole and just then the jig came out. He just sat there so I did the ol’ arm dunk but as soon as I touched him he bolted. 
He would have been on the wall for sure.
After that I went back to catching more crappies(which I was after to begin with)
What a fight on 3lb line.
