Yesterday went out and braved the cold. We were fishing in about 3-6 feet of water. Drilled a bunch of holes set up the tip-up and ice shack. Wasn’t catching anything in the shack so i braved the cold and started to bounce around and fish some of the other holes I drilled. Just like that I started catching some nice gills. So I moved the ice shack to the hole I was catching fish in. Not another bite. So I got out of the shack and dropped my line in the hole that the shack was over before. Wam started catching fish again. I moved the shack 3 more times and the same results. My day ended up with me catching one fish in the shack and about 20 when I was standing out in the cold.
If you ask me those fish would not bite unless you were freezing. Tricky little devils, aren’t they
