We will be headed up to the Cities for Christmas and I would like to try to do a little ice fishing. About 20 years ago I remember this lake having great open water crappies. We had a number of days in which we would catch at least a dozen 1lb plus Crappies. Does anyone know how the lake is doing and do have any suggestions as to where to start?
I am also considering Chisago. Again I have only fished Chisago during open water. Any suggestion as to where to start would be great.
