Yesterday i made it to local fishing hole in the area. It started of really really slow but my friend noticed that the flasher was acting wierd and we couldnt figure out why. So we go out and drilled a few more hole and discovered we were about 4 feet away from a huge drop off , so we packed up shop and moved over a few feet. A few feet later and it was a completly defernt story. We landed probably about 60 fish total and keept 15 between the two of us. Majority of the fish were in about 6-8 fow, biting on light blue and pink little cecil jigs tipped with a waxy or a spike. We were fishing on about 6-7 inches of ice and the fish ranged from 7 to 13 1/2 inches. We also caught a few crappies on a tip up, with a crappie minow on it (thanks for idea brett . So all in all for starting out so slow it ended up being a great day out on the ice.
