spent the last few days out on the ice, checking ice and doing some fishing. here is what ive found.
Chisago(south bay) 4-6 inches of ice over 10 ft. of water fished from 1pm to dark on Sunday and caught 24 crappies, 5 large
sunnies and 2 bass over 5 lbs.
chisago(channel behind hospital) 4-5 inches of ice. fished from 7am-10am on monday and caught 11 crappies and 6 sunnnies.
Forest lake (willow point) 5-7 inches of ice over 21-30 ft. of water. fished from 11am -3pm on Monday and caught 6 perch, 4 walleyes and 3 crappies.
south center(pancake island) 4-6 inches of ice over 8-10 ft. of water. fished from 2pm to dark and caught 3 walleyes on wednesday.
heading to pokegama in pine city on saturday, and typo lake on sunday so will have more reports next week.
