After owning 4 Otters I decided to get try the Thermal X from Clam Corp. I saw it at Cabela’s and it seemed to be much heavier duty than earlier Clam models. One issue seems to be the “Runners” that you mount to the bottom of the sled for protection. They certainly don’t appear to offer much protection comparied to the standard runners on my Otter. What gives? Has anyone any experience with these? Seems awful cheap for a $1000 shelter.
