    Im thinking about heading up to it this year but have never been to it in the past. What is the whole show about? Just a bunch of vendors in booths, seminars, etc? Are there ever any good deals at these shows? If you could only go one day, which one would it be?

    Yep, vendors booth for the most part. Some sell some just give information. Guides, resorts, etc.

    I have been working it the last 3 years with Jiffy Augers (look for something new from them this year ). I don’t get to walk around as much as I would like, but I do enjoy talking with everyone that comes through the booths I am at. There are some deals to be had mainly Sunday with any big floor items (ice houses, augers).

    The ice show is worth going to every year. You get to see the latest and greatest of all the companies. You also get to see those items that make you say “why didn’t I think of that”. I work the show every year and the attendance is very good.

    Now, if you are looking for deals, you will find some excellent ones. The more you shop the show, the better the deal. On the other hand, you have to pay to park and attend the show so the deals are relative. However, if you are going to the show for the enjoyment…you will find some of the best deals of the season

    Scott- when you say look for something new from Jiffy- that mean they have a 4 stroke coming out?

    First time posting to the site.

    Anyone hear of a new ice fishing show at the Minneapolis convention center? I think it’s in the middle of November, but I can’t find anything online about it.

    2HP that will be able to run Jiffy 10″ STX blades. Also lighter!

    I had a REEL good time at the Reel Weeds booth last year! (get it?? ) Met some old IDAers for the first time.

    Just from our sponsors that are going to be there with their new wares, it’s going to be a great “pump me up, get me on some ice show”!

    Not that I’m a big fan of the ice…but the show and all of the “new for ’07/’08 ice”, I can’t help walking out of there saying…COME ON ICE!
