First Ice Day- Pick a date

    Feb 14 for safe ice and Feb 16th for ice out…in the land of Ben Garver.

    i’d love to see first ice on November 30th. However I don’t think we’ll be on the clear stuff until the 2nd week of december. Just a feeling. and you just know we are going to get a good hard 1.5 or 2 and all of a sudden its going to snow like hell and we’re screwed again

    I don’t care so much how soon it gets here..just pray that it is long lived and safe. Last year was terrible.sucks when the fish go deep in jan-feb and the only places you can go are shallow if you are even lucky enough to find ice

    How about Dec 10th. I think it will be earlier than last year for the metro area.

    I’m gunna be optimistic and say Nov. 16th for the metro area I would go with the 9th but that may be pushing it.

    I am guessing I’ll be on hard water by Dec. 7th. That is if I can pull myself away from the river walleye action on pool 4.

    Dec 16th. (Sorry, just trying to be honest) Wouldn’t mind a little closer to halloween though.
