My boss is heading up that way tomorrow and was wondering how the ice was on red lake and LOW. Is it “safe” to drive a pickup out there?
    Thanks,
    Chris

No way in heck is he going to get around on LOTW in a pickup. A 4 wheeler is going to be the best bet.

Friday there were MANY trucks on the ice. Saturday most of the traffic was sleds and wheelers but there were a few trucks pounding through the slush and snow. We saw some come very close to getting buried.

By sunday… I didn’t see any trucks. But the wheelers were out in force.

    Ditto with Winni.

Talking to Jeff at Tamerack, he didn’t think a truck could make it on to the ice after Saturdays temps and the rain Sunday.
When we left Sunday morning there was water 8 feet out from the shore at his resort.

    She be going bad fast!
