I really, really want to hit the ice one last time this weekend. Plan to hit the weaver bottom area or dike road by Kellog tomorrow. Anyone have any thoughts on the ice conditions? I have not caught a SINGLE fish my last THREE times out and I just can’t let the season end this way!

Much of the ice is no longer reachable because of water between the shore and the ice. Wabasha marina and Pontoon Sleugh still had some people fishing there yesterday.

As of Wednesday, hip boots got me onto ice at a few spots down that way.Knee boots would work.Fish were small and fishing was slow.I’m hopeful that with the cool down not much has changed as far ice conditions go and there was anywhere from 8″ to 16″ of ice on Wednesday.I plan on giving the backwaters one more whirl tomorrow before heading inland for the last hurrah.
