Just be aware the river has come up a good 3 feet and is still rising. The shoreline is opening up at a fast rate do to the large amount of run off the last few days. Neutron reported this morning there is 10 feet of open water before there is ice in some of the areas we fish. I’m sure there are some areas not effected quit as bad just be careful around the shorelines!
I think it is time for me to get the boat ready
My ice fishing reports have come to an end for this season

    Get your boat ready Slop

this is all I could find involving 22. I can picture the shore being a little shaky, but I think it will be ok..

“Christnovich said North and South Lauderdale Bay and Camp 22 off French Island are producing crappies and bluegills. He said perch are still hitting near the airport landing lights on Lake Onalaska, but getting out there is a problem.”

THis is from today, March 15th

Sounds like you might need a life jacket and a couple pieces of plywood. The river is such an amazing body of water to me. I was out Tuesday ice fishing and there was a solid 12″ of ice and to see how the ice has changed is truly amazing in a few days. Be careful if you try it.

    Bret,
I just got home from Rice Lake and the ice is going fast up there to. Saturday morning we walked off a landing and 2 pickups drove off. This morning we walked in ankle deep water to get to the ice. The ice was over 2′ thick, but was not very good. When you drilled a hole the auger was breaking pieces out of the edge of the hole, all the way to the bottom of the ice. After today it will probably be impossable to get on the ice up there.
