LOTW ice and pike

    well as plans sit as of now I will be heading up to LOTW friday night to chase some pike around hopefully any one know how the ice is up there and can anyone give me some pointers on where to start looking for those huge pike that LOTW is famed for? any advice would be helpfull thanks

    Is not pike fishing done till opener like walleye fishing?

    Border Waters Canada-Minnesota

    Walleye/Sauger season is open through April 14, 2007

    Northern Pike season is continuous.

    Ice is good, make sure to bring your extension.

    Hey There-
    So far the ice has been really good to us. Its still strong and holding up. Just off Four Mile Bay and about 10 miles N-NE of Pine Island success as hit in tip-ups for catching Pike and pleasing customers. The best spot for catching Pike has been in shallow water close to weed beds. Hope you come up with a great catch this weekend.
