I was just wondering if anybody ever feeds their shiners/sucker minnows. I have a couple dozen that I have had for a couple weeks and I’m not going to be able to use them for a couple more weeks. (I realize the tip-up season closes for bass, pike, and walleyes, but I’ll be using them on the Missisippi)Currently, I just have them in a five gallon bucket w/ an aerator, but some are starting to becoming a little pale. Just wondering if there are any options to keeping them going a little longer.

    Thanks,

be aware that feeding them will cause the water to bad quicker, so you’ll have to watch the water quality a little closer.

When I had my fresh water aquarium, I use to feed the bait the same as I would feed the pets…. some fish food. Fresh water fish is a fresh water fish. Some are just bigger, and prefer smaller fresh water fish
