Took a little trip to a southern IA lake today. With monster gill on my mind, took a little looking but was able to put 15 ten plus gills on the ice. for the most part they were in about 20 fow, wright tight to the bottom, you needed to bounce the jig off the bottom to get a look then just dead stick it. the lake I was on had a good 6 inches of ice and with the focast it is only going to get better. there were quite a few people out and by the way they were talking most everyone was getting a few. The best jig for me was a marmooska in the white and chartruse tipped with a waxi, couldnt get bit on really any thing else. So the ice is on everyone be carefull out there and I drop you a note on the trip
