lake rathbun ice?

Anyone know how the ice is at rathbun? Thinking about going but I dont want to get there and have to turn around and come home. Thanks

I was over there yesterday. Ice is pretty good. One area of Honey Creek had about 8″. I’d say the average was 4 to 6. Did more scouting to see where people have been than I did fishing. Lots of lookers but few takers and that’s what most everybody said too. I imagine a lot of snow melted today and with the big freeze moving in, things should be fine. Taking the 4 wheeler with me the next time I go.
