Comfortable Ice thickness for driving

    Talking about bringing a old thread back lol

    Ah if I have to add an extension to the auger I feel totally safe for driving on the roads lol.

    Yeah, seems I mostly would have the same response three years later. That said this year has me spooked. Been hearing too many reports. We’ve got 12″ of ice but wait. Moved 400 yards and drilled 2″. The other one, have 10″ but only 2″ is clear and the rest is white.

    The variability seems more than most years.

    It doesn’t matter how thick the ice is, as long as it goes all the way to the bottom, its safe
