I would sure like to be posting that I caught fish but I did not get a BITE.On the good note there was ice I fished north shore out from state dock and found about 7in the snow was putting weight on ice so there was water coming over hole.I went to island and there must have been 20 shacks and close to 9 in there.Even though I did not catch fish it was still nice to get out.I know with all the people out there has to be more IDA guys and gals so maybe they will have a decent report.I also found that it was easy walking by the island as there were some packed paths but that was not the case for the north shore it was tuff walking

Sorry to hear that. But thanks for the update, I know I’ll be out there soon looking for those Yellow Bass.

    Joe,

    Thanks for the report!!
Were you in 14 to 15 ft. where you were fishing or the 18 ft. bowl north of the island?
Did you mark alot of fish, just no takers?
This snow coming isn’t going to help build more ice
Hopefully we will meet up sometime this winter.

Made it up to Clear for a couple hrs. Sat. The ice was around 7 inches of decent ice lots of people out. We fished east and north of the Island in 15 fow. Caught 7 yellows and missed a couple others. The bite really turned on right at dusk. I had a perch glow buckshot with a minnow head and Jake had a prech colored Kens jig and a minnow on. They really wanted alot of movement on the jigging.

I wish we would have gotten there a little earlier but it was still fun just to get out.

This new snow sure won’t help much!!

Thanks for the report Panfish.I wish we were not getting this snow that will be along ugly walk.I noticed that most of the shacks were out in the deeper water we will have to give it a look next trip.

Did not take any finders I fished the 14/15 foot it sounds like I should have given the deeper water north of island a try

Yep that snow really bites Joe!! It’s gonna be hard to build any ice with all that snow on top. I hate to say it but now we need some warm weather during the day to melt it and then get cold at nite and re-freeze it. Tough pulling a house through all that snow also.
