Anyone been on Deer lately. Am thinking of heading out on Sunday. What’s the ice like, any bad spots to be careful of? Want to target perch, any reports, tips.

Was on the lake Sunday(at least 12 inches of ice)/north end public access where you walk between the two houses. From there went east on the north end to a weed flat in 8 FOW. Crappies and giller’s were in the shallower H2O within the green weeds and my buddy targeted those, we strung 3 tip ups out right away down the drop into approx. 20 feet tipped with crappie minnows-found decent perch (10-12.5 inches) in 13 FOW-overall caught approx. 50 
but kept 15 between 10.5 and 12.5 inches/most fish came on firetiger mini merts tipped with 1-2 waxies. Used the reel weeds around the Yukon as actual weedline was in shallower-seemed to make a difference.
