I need a tow bar for my portable. I’m thinking of making one because I’m running out of time before the GTG to order one. Does anyone have a idea for one or a pic of homemade one? I have a Fish Trap Pro but I’d like it to be something I could use on my cousins Frabill XL Twin too.

I have a buddy who has made a couple from conduit(sp?).

I just bought a PRO and made this tow bar bracket out of aluminum. I’m using my Eskimo tow bar to tow either fish house. I wanted to keep the bracket light for times when I pull by hand. I’ll post a review after a season of use. We’ll see if the aluminum will hold up after I make a few long distance runs.

Mine is similar to that one only I used two separate brackets and steel. I also drilled out the holes on the hitch and added beefier pins.

Aluminum would have been nice I agree.

I made the same thing for a buddy using 10 gauge stainless steel.

1/4 inch aluminum will work well.

    Nice welds by the way.

Are you looking for a job? I could use a good welder.
