The wife and I are looking to go to LOTW beginning of Feb. My question is; We would like to bring our dogs (1 Chocolate and 1 Lab mix) with, are there any resorts that would take all four of us for 2-3 days of fishing? We would like to stay in the fish house.
Thanks in advance for the help!

I see dogs in houses on the ice all the time. You may need to arrange your own transportatin to and from the house. But, I don’t think a resort would have a problem with a dog if you were staying in a sleeper. Call around and ask.

Pets are not usually a problem. You will probably pay an extra fee to bring them. Most people don’t sleep/fish on the lake. The bite usually dies after dark.

    True, with one NOTABLE exception.
If you enjoy eelpout fishing, it’s hard to beat LOTW after dark.

No doubt it’s great sleeping on the ice plus your ready to fish in morning nothing worse then waiting for your bomber ride out in the morning……

Although a shower and Fillet Mignon ain’t bad either…..

We have an excellent Filet Mignon…

Any way….we do accept pets and there is usually no problem getting them to the fish house. We actually do it quite often…

We do not have sleepers but we do take you to and from the fish house.

If you would like more info feel free to PM me or give me a call at the resort.

Went up to LOTW the first time and slept on the ice for two days. Next time up stayed at a resort.

Contrary to what my nephew the “Col” might post, I would never again sleep out on the ice. It is dead just before dusk and the one or two pout we caught was not worth sleeping on the ice for!
