Noth’n much to report on catch’n but plenty of ice for fish’n. Only able to fish Saturday as 40+ mph winds were too much for us on Sunday. Found good ice starting at Madison SD, pickups parked on the ice along the 81 lakes by the time we hit Brookings and froze my a** before daylight around Watertown with wind chills below zero. No open water after we got north Lewis & Clark on our route.
Wish I had more on how great the catch’n was but didn’t hit the “Hot Spot” this time. We’ll make another run before the end of the month and try it again. If anybody knows a good spot to try let me know and we’ll give it a shot.
