oil for a colman generator

    My boss just bought a 5 horse generator but we lost the owners book. What oil is best to use. We have some 30 weight here but want to make sure exactlly what to use. This stuff says it services sm/sl but I dont know mutch about oil Thanks for any advise you have

    I would do a search on the web for the Generator model and get the specs for it!!

    I would think a 05W30 in synthetic or semi would be allright. Kind of a catch all oil in our climate. Can’t beat Mobil1 .
