DNR tags

    pulled a pike though the ice on mille lacs today, that had 2 tags from the DNR in it. is it commen for them to put 2 tages in a fish

    Two tags is the norm.

    Write down the numbers off the tags and call/send them to the DNR fisheries people so they can use YOUR info per the study the tagging was meant to accomplish. DON’T pull the tags out. Leaving them in for further info can be helpful another time either through another angler catch or the DNR contacting that fish again via another netting scenario.
