Coon Lake Ice Conditions…

Was going to post and ask about ice conditions… but found this on WCCO… Truck falls through ice…

I drove by the landing off of thurston ave last night and there are guys our there fishing. they are parking at the access and walking on through the weeds. between the 2 rock points at the landing is still showing open water. as far as how much ice was out there, not a clue, but seeing open ice there, that close to shore, I decided to give it another week before venturing out. in my opinion, there aint no fish worth that risk. if you go out, look for where the weeds are packed down at the far end of the parking lot, there is where the most traffic seems to be heading out on the ice.
