Went out to Stoddard from 2-5. Ice was 3-4 inches and solid on the way out.
Caught some fish, couple over 8 but a lot of 5 inchers. The fish were really aggresive, coming up 2-3 at a time to hit my jig 2 feet under the ice, so I had that going for me.
On the way back the ice was just plain scary. It took a few tries to find a safe way near shore. I put my spud through more times than not. Won’t be going back there untill we get some Wisconsin winter (I moved north from Illinois for a reason).
Carefull if you go out. I think it’s time to fire up the boat.
