Holy Crapola, those are NICE FISH!!! And look….nobody in sight! Dang near makes me wanna get back into ice-fishing! I was always under the impression LOW was full of little sauger and 15″ walleyes (Judging by the group of guys that go there from work atleast half-dozen times each winter), but apparently I was sorely mistaken! Looks like your buddy Don was definately in the Right spot, good for him!!

I have found if you stay closer to the island in 10-15 FOW at low light periods the piggies show up. Crowding has never been an issue since most people fish the 20-30 FOW. Usually the closest person is a half mile away.

I was going to say it looked like they were closer to shore judging the land nad getting them early or late form the sun and shadows. Almost looks like a Schusters cabin, but then that are all similar. Real nice fish. Any hot baits?

I have fished walleyes since I was too young to know what they were. And just this past fall I caught my biggest, being a 31″….that was a feat….BUT through the ice, are you kidding me? Wow, what a fish!!!
