Not much to brag about. Just posting about the ice conditions that I found. It was very foggy out today and the rain sucked. So did the fishing. But I was surprised to find 4.5″ of ice in a deep backwater area (20+’). It won’t hold up for long but I had visions of turning back tonight. The shorline was beat up and I had to find a rock to step onto before stepping on to the ice. with an inch of water on top and sun and mid 40’s on the way, It won’t take long for ice to be slush crap or nothing at all! I would recommend after tomorrow, To be in shallow backwaters and wear your creapers! The ice was very very slick today. I think I will still find a way to get on some hardwater somewhere this weekend, but There is a chance that nobody will be out

I wish anyone good luck that gets out and have a safe trip!

Here are the 4 crappies I caught tonight. I only had 5 bites

    2@ 11-1/2″, 1@ 10-1/4″ and 1@ 9″
