Most lakes are walkable now in Minneapolis. I have not been on harriet or calhoun yet, but the CO tonight told me there was 5″ on the south side of harriet, and calhoun should be about the same.

The *other* lakes in town are running 5″-7″ everywhere I have been or heard of.

Use care when heading out, but people shouldnt have much problem finding a place to fish in the cities now.. bring ice cleats!

I was out on Nokomis this morning, just testing out my gear. The ice was thinner than I thought. In 8-18 feet of water the ice was 4 inches thick. I didn’t go out any further than that. But it was good solid ice, no cracking at all.

You must have been on the last area to freeze out there.. Nokomis is having an odd year, its usually the 1st to freeze and get good ice.

    Thanks for the heads up

Bob got stuck with the honey do list… but Hanson did a good job in Bob’s place after pier bridge went home

2 fish too small, 2 fish good for the pan(15″-17″), and one too big at about 24″.
