Now that we’ve got the temps of the lakes down to just above 32 with the last few snaps of cold, We’re now ready for the good ice.

This next batch of cold air starting tuesday night will be the main factor for good ice on many lakes.

I don’t know about you guys, but I like my lakes smoothe and solid. So like I said, cross your fingers and hope for no wind!! A couple thousand prayers couldn’t hurt either

Say it isn’t so! I’m crossing my fingers that the weatherman is as wrong as he usually is….I HATE icy boat-ramps!

The ice on the bay up here on LOTW is like glass…What a beautiful sight

please ask mother nature to hold her breath so it stays that way! i hope that smooth ice can continue out past 4-mile island! we hit some pretty fierce ice shard fields last year that made for some slow ruff going!

Temps are already dropping as the rain went past. Still looking pretty windy though.
