A fifteen-day forecast isn’t worth a lot, but according to the one I just checked today there is some cold air coming in to the upper Midwest after this weekend. Temps in southeast Minnesota are supposed to be around freezing during the day, and down around ten to fifteen at night.
It may not be the single-digit weather I’d like to see this time of year, but IF that forecast is close to being right it is still ice-making weather. It would be nice not to wait until almost Christmas for good ice this year. Maybe I’ll get some early December hard-water fishing in around my current residence in Iowa City…
