NO ICE FISHING DERBIES IN WI

    I hope that got your attention.

    Just an FYI for all you ice fishing fans…..if the new tournament proposals go through for regulating tournament fishing, a LOT of your ice fishing derbies and tournaments will no longer be held b/c of the extra tournament fees that would be imposed on those holding the tournaments.

    Most derbies I’ve been in can easily pull 100-200+ people easily, and lots of that money goes back towards charity or the environment and its resources. It would be a shame to have that taken away.

    Last night’s Proposal meeting had many Ice fishing representatives…..Just wanted to thank them for showing their support in OPPOSITION to the new rules.

    Slop..how did your meetings go over..lots of support or any anti’s there?

    lost of support in OPPOSITION of the rules…and even the 2 people i would’ve considered in favor of it, had issues with its current form.

    I’d say it went well.

    What is the DNR guys in your area feelings towards the new rules…Was Patrick S from Madison at your meeting…
