Well fellas..things are beginning to ice over up her. Nothing signifigant yet, but every morning there has been ice on most ponds and small lakes.
Not sure if we’ll be ice fishing as soon as the deer tags are filled but I think it may be very soon after.
I was up on the Gunflint trail last week, they have ice on many lakes.
Do you thinks it’s safe to walk on beaver ponds, yet? Just curious, as I will be heading to Ely to shoot the big buck in a couple of weeks and I got a lot of beaver ponds to cross to get to him.
Sorry, I was also out deer hunting. 
We getting good ice up here now. It was near 0 from Superior north last night. Supposed to be only in the 20’s during the day and teens at night for at least the next 4-5 days now.
