    we will try and keep you updated on the ice conditions on Upper Red this year- its an interesting lake during ice time, it changes from day to day

    heres some updated info- theres smooth ice on Red as far as you can see, some people are testing it out to 400 yards and returning a little scared- lets hope for cold weather and no high winds

    they are now reporting 5″ of ice on Upper Red out to 7ft of water on the North end, East side, acouple have ventured out catching a 7lb gator and eyes- pretty scarey yet if you ask me- thats a pretty good hike out that far to get in 7 foot with broken ice still trying to heal together

    another website has pics of some guys tip up fishing they reported 6 inchs and good pike fishing with id hate to say it i saw it on iceteam.com

    Be safe and wait for good ice…no fish is worth going for a swim over!!!!

    URL had open water on the South end the other day and now the lake is opened all up to the North end with bad ice in the corner, and here comes 50+ temps for the rest of the week, enjoy the Turkey this week and relax

    things are looking good for ULR- some are pulling there houses out from the big guns (business”s)- it maybe just there smaller houses but rumor has it that there heading to 8ft+ depth but useing bigger trucks a couple of them are out-2-3 miles plowing-just call ahead to make sure if they allow large trucks or small yet- the fish are hitting well in 8-10 ft of water
