heres some updated info- theres smooth ice on Red as far as you can see, some people are testing it out to 400 yards and returning a little scared- lets hope for cold weather and no high winds

November 17, 2006 at 2:34 pm #500602they are now reporting 5″ of ice on Upper Red out to 7ft of water on the North end, East side, acouple have ventured out catching a 7lb gator and eyes- pretty scarey yet if you ask me- thats a pretty good hike out that far to get in 7 foot with broken ice still trying to heal together

December 19, 2006 at 2:48 pm #512861things are looking good for ULR- some are pulling there houses out from the big guns (business”s)- it maybe just there smaller houses but rumor has it that there heading to 8ft+ depth but useing bigger trucks a couple of them are out-2-3 miles plowing-just call ahead to make sure if they allow large trucks or small yet- the fish are hitting well in 8-10 ft of water
