The last couple of years I have really enjoyed catching some Red Lake Crappies.
They just don’t seem to fit in an 8″ hole.

I did have picks, and a life jacket on though(it was on a small pond with no current)- I have been on ice (the depth was only three feet) where it spider webbed with every step…that was fun!!I like getting on early ice- but I will not get on it, in deep water, if the ice is unsafe.
September 22, 2006 at 3:21 am #481488I`do not get out ice fishing much, so when my daughter asked me to take her fishing throu a hole I just had to get her out. Here is the only fish we caught and it came on her pole.
She wanted to get it mounted.Ron

The last one was mille acs. the ice was about 18 inches thick but looked like it was floating ice chunks in open water.
