Rules meeting will be at the Chaps Club on the North end of Milford at 7:00 p.m. Jan 6,2007. We will run over the rules and give out door prizes.

I’m looking forward to seeing both of you guys for the contest.It should be a fun time.There will be a local newspaper article running in the near future,plus I’ll start to put flyers out in the baitshops.

Is this 100% payout? Whats the payout scale like? Just make it a winner take all! I would be really satisfied when I win $1750!! And then the big fish pot on top of that. That would take care of a little of my ice fishing “debt”!!

100 % payback?? It would be nice if tourneys were that simple and cheap to organize,plus door prizes,trophys,flyers,etc.It all adds up.

Todd,there are some very good anglers that will enter this event.So I except the 10 biggest gills to weigh from 5-6#’s if they find some good sized ones.
We will have good ice easy by then.
As far as traffic on the ice.If it’s safe for sleds and 4 wheelers then by all means we will let people use them.
What I’ll do is release people like at 6:30 a.m.,that way it will allow people to get to their spots,setup,and ready to fish.At 7:00 a.m. we will start to fish.
Thanks for your interest and help getting this event going.Ice Team used to come to the area but have left the area.
Right now I have 10 teams entered and paid,so 40 spots left right now.

If we bring an ATV to Iowa do we have to get it licenced or get some kind of permit? I thought I remember hearing something about this at a tournament I went to in Council Bluffs.

As far as the 4-wheeler you’ll need to have it licensed,orange safety flag on the back,60″‘s off the ground.
Also for you Nebraska guys,while your up here you better look at the homes around the area.I’m sure you’ll want to stay in Iowa.

We have a 6″ Lazer hand auger.
Also Dave Koonce might donate a tackle package.

Dave, Todd and I might have an extra bed open. I will check with Ben Garver and see if he’s decided to attend or not. I had offered it to him first but if he doesn’t want it it’s open. I think Sean Lyon is going too. We might even be able to put a cot in the room and just pay a little extra to Ryan. We’ll check with Ryan on that.
How far of a drive is this from the LaCrosse area? Sounds like there might be a road trip coming up 
The lake sounds like a challenge to catch fish in the clear waters 
Mike, It’s about 230 miles, mostly I90 so about 3 hours or so. We’ll see your

Ryan, You might check with the local CO reference some of the out of state atv’ers and registration exemption:
321G.8 EXEMPT VEHICLES.
Registration shall not be required for the following described
snowmobiles:
1. Snowmobiles owned and used by the United States, another
state, or a political subdivision of another state.
2. Snowmobiles registered in a country other than the United
States used within this state for not more than twenty consecutive
days.
3. Snowmobiles not registered or licensed in another state or
country being used in this state while engaged in a special event and
not remaining in the state for a period of more than ten days.
4. Snowmobiles used exclusively as farm implements.
