Good one MM
Panfish has another scenario I forgot to mention. In SD we fish the trees in the winter. Last year the dual beam made a huge difference. We were able to fish areas we previously could not. We ended up having to put both the LX-3’s and FL-18’s away because they were worthless in the thick cover. Using the narrow beam eliminated most of tree reflection in the hole and you were able to see you bait.
It is a lot of work coaxing those trophy gills out of that thick cover and being able to switch to that narrow beam was a huge advantage…Even the diehard Vex guys learned to appreciate the dual beam on the LX-5 that day.
Again, just one of the many times that the Dual Beam is a must.
