As I sit this a.m in the Minocqua area, I have had reports from friends that even our large lakes are starting to lose their ice. Hopefully by this weeekend we will be ice free except for our largest lakes. Although on Tomahawk, which is in the top four of non-flowage (natural) bodies of water, had its ice break up on the main lake yesterday afternoon, even though I could still see a sheet of ice in the island areas. Hope to get a report from Trout today to see if it broke up some yesterday as well. 
Brooktrout, I bet the Hayward lakes may be free as well!!!
