    I’ve caught several up here out of lake Superior through the ice while fishing for Whitefish.
    The locals here call them “Lawyers” (no pun intended)They are a member of the Ling Cod family or freshwater Burbot.

    This is one fish you shouldn’t judge by it’s skin. Even though it does look neat I think after you get over it’s uglyness, I like the patterns.

    This is one of the better eatn fish you’ll put to the table. That is of course if you like lobstertails!!
