    I see the LX-1 is selling for $169. would this be a good unit for my kids? Do they hold up well? thanks

    That is a really great price if you are getting the entire ice package. The lowest I have seen so far has been $225. They are a good unit. They lack the features of the newer units and are no longer being made. However, they will still be serviced by MarCum. Yes, they are a great unit for anyone. The display if very crisp and clear :waytogo

    Nice unit for the price! Very easy to read in the sun too. Baught mine from Scott for 215 with soft pack, battery, charger the whole nine yards. Scott is there a battery guage that you can buy that will fit the flat battery prongs?

    Thanks, I picked up two of them for the kids, see how they work this weekend in sub zero weather, maybe help keep the kids going for a couple of hours.
