I was thinking of hitting the flats for some perch. Got a sharp auger, a fast snowmobile and an Otter. Any ideas?

Just got home from fishers. Lots of perch out there. Even a few walleyes. Must of caught 40 perch today. Most running 10 to 12″. There is a transition line from sand to mud about 3 miles out. Roads 5, 6, 7. Start looking around in the mud in 30′ or deeper.
The fish where hot on euro larve today. Also caught a few on minnow heads. Full minnows would just get hit and pulled around a little.
Fishers also has a good road to the flats. Heard they are getting a few eyes and perch out there.

I grew up with Dean; GREAT GUY! I know the roads you are talking about. Will give that a try. Jigging spoons or tear drops?

Useing larger spoons with the minnow heads. Small tear drop with the euro larve.
Dean was a year behind me in school. He was a busy guy today plowing out drifted in roads.
