Leech Lake Perch

    We had a crew of 7 make our 5th annual trip to Leech Lake this weekend and had a super trip. I don’t have the fancy camera so I don’t have the pictures but we all got our limit of perch. I was the lucky one to get a 13 1/2 1.02 lb perch and several of the guys got 13 inchers also and at least one of those went a lb. Our hosts were the guys of Brindley’s Harbor, Walker Mn. What a great place, great people and great fishing. Glow jigs with fatheads in 15 FOW.

    Did any of the perch have that white Parasite in them? We usually hammer the perch on Leech but people don’t like to keep them because of that parasite.

    Certain areas of the lake are worse than others, that is why I ask.

    We ate 60 while we were there and never found any. I know I always fillet everything especially around here because of them. Otherwise you wouldn’t see them.
