    Hi guys, just got back from LOTW and Red. To say the least the fishing was horrible. Red was a waste of time, just walleyes. So on to LOTW with high hopes….NOT! We did manage our limit of walleyes for 7 guys, but we fished for three days all day. Most fish were in the 16 inch range with no other species caught, and all came on set lines with a white glow hook. The bombadiers that came in Monday night were in 30fow plus and all were blanked!!!so our guide put us on top of 12 mile reef in 14fow with some nice rock. Hands down the worst outing I’ve ever had on LOTW but that’s why they make beer! The staff at Arnesen’s are second to none. If anybody is planning a trip,WAIT, the water is getting better and should pick up soon.

    Most reports have sounded like that this year. Hope things get going soon.

    Yes, I can’t say I am in a hurry to start guiding up there. I have been running all my LOTW trips on Mille Lacs so far this year. I know it will get better..hopefully soon!
